Platform Rules
How Sawa works and what to expect
Sawa Coins & Trading
- You start with 100 Sawa coins when you create your account.
- Creating a prediction is free. Placing a trade on a prediction costs Sawa coins (you choose the amount).
- There are monthly limits on how many predictions you can create and join, based on your account tier.
- When you place a trade, your Sawa coins are deducted immediately.
- If your prediction is correct, you receive a share of the total pool proportional to your stake.
- All payouts shown while a prediction is open are estimates. The actual payout is only determined when the prediction closes, based on the final total volume and pool distribution at that time.
- A small platform fee (2.5%) is deducted from winnings.
- Early traders receive a small bonus for placing their trade sooner.
Predictions
- Anyone can create a prediction with a question, options, a deadline, and a category.
- Predictions can be public (visible on Discover) or tied to a specific community.
- The title, description, and category of a prediction cannot be changed once someone has placed a trade.
- The deadline can be extended after trades have been placed, but not shortened.
- Images can be updated at any time before the prediction is resolved.
Resolution & Disputes
- The person who created the prediction is responsible for resolving it once the outcome is known.
- After resolution, there is a 24-hour dispute window where any participant can challenge the result.
- If a dispute is raised, participants vote on the outcome.
- If the dispute is upheld, all trades are refunded to participants.
- If no disputes are raised within 24 hours, winnings are distributed automatically.
Signal Score & Leaderboard
- Your Signal Score is your win rate: the percentage of resolved predictions you got right.
- It is calculated as wins divided by total resolved trades.
- Leaderboard rankings are based on Signal Score, with total winnings as a tiebreaker.
- Both global and community-level leaderboards are available.
Communities
- Anyone can create a community. The creator is the admin.
- Communities can be public (listed on Discover), invite-only, or restricted to specific email domains.
- Admins can require approval for new members.
- Each community has a unique invite code that can be shared to invite members.
- Community members can create predictions within the community and see a community-specific leaderboard.
Fair Play
- Predictions must have a verifiable outcome. Subjective or unverifiable questions may be removed.
- Manipulating outcomes, creating misleading predictions, or exploiting the platform is prohibited.
- Users who violate these rules may have their accounts suspended.
- All prediction results are publicly visible on your profile. There is no way to hide wrong calls.
- Sawa uses virtual Sawa coins only. There is no real money involved, no cash prizes, and no financial risk.
