About this market

The NFL is the last major North American league without paid advertising on its game uniforms; sponsor logos are permitted only on practice jerseys, a policy the league adopted in 2009. The NBA (jersey patches from 2017-18), the NHL (helmet ads from 2020-21, jersey ads from 2022-23) and MLB (jersey patches from 2023, postseason batting-helmet ads from 2024) all sell uniform ad space, and NCAA Division I begins allowing commercial logos on uniforms, apparel and equipment in 2026-27. This market asks whether the NFL authorizes paid third-party advertising on helmets worn in NFL games by the end of 2029.
